How to: Messy Waves

I am always getting asked questions on how I get my hair wavy, so I thought I would do a 'How to' post.

Photobucket
{you will need a GHD flat iron & Hairspray}

Photobucket
{Clamp & twist hair around the GHDs - making sure it's away from your face. Hold, twist and pull down}

Photobucket
{Repeat step 1 all over your hair, taking small sections and clamping with the GHDs}

Photobucket
{Spray with hair spray to hold - I swear by Tigi, Rockaholic}

Photobucket
{Brush your fingers through your hair to get the tousled, messy look}

Photobucket
{Et Voila - to get your own GHD's visit ghdhair.com}
Note: Don'y worry if it takes a while to get the desired results - practice makes perfect.

P.S: Will be getting my highlights done at the weekend!

yay! thanks for showing how to do it, it looks really simple! :) I suppose that any old straighteners will work... am I right?!
Cheers again - this will be my hairstyle of the summer!

Thanks for the great tutorial! I always get huge kinks in my hair whenever I try this with my own straighteners, so until I get my hands on a pair of GHDs I'll have to stick to my curling tongs!

gah, you have definitely reached the perfect level in terms of practice! I think my problem is that with shorter hair, it tends to go into ringlets...am hoping to grow it for summer though x

I NEVER get it right haha, even after years of practise.

You made it sound so easy, looks like you've masterized it! I've tried unsuccesfully, takes practice right? I have same flat iron, but not the skills, you look great!
