Review: St Tropez Bronzing Lotion

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

If you follow me on Twitter, you would have noticed that I am forever chatting about my love for fake tan. Not a particular brand, just fake tan in general. I couldn't have been more happier when I received this tan from Lingerie Please. I started experimenting with St Tropez, when I was about 15. I loved it, but I always got it done professionally - fake tan back in the day was HARD to apply without streaking. There has a;sp  been some major fake tan accidents over the last decade. I have  been every shade of orange that you could possibly imagine and tried every single brand available.
I haven't used St Tropez since my school days and I have to say I was ever so surprised about the outcome.

♥ Applying this tan was easy, the only warning I could give is that a little goes a long way. The first time I applied it, I ended up with a face that looked like it had been dipped in chocolate sauce.
♥ With this product especially, it is essential that you EXFOLIATE, as it really does stick to any dry patch, no matter how small and as always a good moisturiser is key.

♥ Another bonus -  it dries very quickly, so no need to stand around naked feeling like an idiot - and this is the only tan that hasn't left a kirsty shape orange mark on my bed sheets - another bonus.

♥ I also found that it is almost impossible for St Tropez to streak! The tan was - well I say caribbean bronzed - which is how I like it. lol! My sister commented: 'for once your brown and not orange' errr thanks I guess.
♥ I used latex gloves to apply the tan as I haven't quite mastered a mit.
♥ I am incredibly pleased with the outcome and will be throwing out all the other brands I have accumulated.

♥ Can I say once you go to St Tropez you never go back to St Moritz - ha ha, sorry I had to.

I am always so scared of being patchy and orange, so I rarely use self-tan lotion (I end up in the tanning salon - very bad). X

Great review. I've been using Fake Bake and have been loving the results but I recently got an email with this in it from Sephora. I'm definitely going to have to try it now. xoxo

I think St Tropez is really great - I love the mousse. I think Xen-Tan is fantastic too!

This review is fabby! I've never used St Tropez as I'm happy with Loreal Sublime - but I'm now tempted to try St Tropez as you said it's more brown than orange. xx

I've had a St Tropez spray tan before it turned out good. I usually use Piz Buin it's my favourite self tan but they discontinued the type I was using :( so I may give this a go xx

Love that you say you looked like you'd be dipped in chocolate! :)

I've got REALLY pale skin naturally, would you say that this one would suit me? Or do you know some paler coloured ones?

Haa this made me laugh! I use the St Tropez mousse. It scared me at first because it literally looks like chocolate mousse but you're so right - dries straight away. No naked star jumps needed, ha!
Does using a latex glove work alright? i use a mitt but find they break so fast!

I've never fake tanned before, but if I wanted to then this would probably be the one I'd go for. I'd always known it must be good because when I used to work in Boots people ALWAYS used to buy this one x
