One very late post from me today guys as I just couldn't be bothered. Ha! However it was worth the wait. You seriously need to try these croissants they are just Ah-ma-zing. I can't eat more than 2 as I need a lay down afterwards, but it's aways worth it. Give these a go during the week or surprise everyone with an Easter brekkie on Sunday. I found this idea over on Pinterest and the how to was adapted from this recipe.
Tip - leave eggs in the freezer over night.
First up - pre heat your oven to 180 degrees.
Grab your pastry and open the tube. It's brilliant, just like getting a brand nee tub of playdough. Once open, cut the croissant shapes out. Grab your egg and brush on your pastry.
Choose your egg of choice - mine will always be a cream egg - however I am tempted to try the cadburys caramel.
Roll your croissant, starting from the larger end and roll down to the smaller end to form a croissant shape. Then push down around the edges and around the egg, to make sure the chocolateyness doesn't escape whilst cooking, then brush egg all over the top. Place in the over on greaseproof paper and leave for 10 minutes. Check back after 8 minutes, just to make sure.
Once they are all goldeny and pretty, take them out of the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes, then tuck in.
Add your fave fruit, raspberries were all that I had in my fridge and they were so yummy dipped into the chocolate.
The dive in and thank me later. Enjoy!
Hugs & Kisses
