If there’s one piece of clothing that is a
versatile must-buy, it’s jeans. No matter what shape you are, or what your
personal style is, a pair of jeans would be a fabulous addition to your
wardrobe. With so many different cuts available though, choosing a pair of
jeans that would suit can be a bit of a minefield. Here’s a quick guide to help
you through the decision-making process; the jeans from George cover most of
these cuts too, so if you do want to treat yourself to a new pair or two, you
can do so, affordably.
Straight
As the name suggests, these jeans are designed to be straight, all the way
down, and, teamed with right top, can be a more formal equivalent to most other
jeans on the market. Straight legged jeans would be the ideal choice for
shorter ladies, because they elongate the leg and make you look taller.
Boot Cut
As one of the most popular cuts of jean, bootcut jeans have risen in popularity
since the 1990s, and are designed to fit over boots with an added flare (albeit
a slight one). They can be worn by anyone, regardless of shape, and can be
matched with casual, or dressier, tops to create a look for most occasions.
Skinny
Skinny jeans have been around for decades, but have certainly made a comeback
over recent years. While they used to be predominantly flaunted by rock stars
and their fans, nowadays, they’re a popular choice for everyone. Skinny jeans
hug the legs and can look amazing with heels, boots and flats. Whether you want
to wear them with a fancy top for a night out, or dress them down with a T
shirt for a casual daytime look, you can.
You may think that only slim people would
suit a skinny jean, but you’d be wrong. Skinny jeans are often made with a
little Lycra added, giving them an extra stretch which will allow all shapes
and sizes to wear them. Wear with a longer tunic top if you’re a larger shape,
but if you have the legs to get away with them, super skinny jeans would be the
way to go.
Boyfriend
The boyfriend jean offers a more comfortable, baggier fit which is looser
around the leg, while gradually tapering towards the ankle. They’re perfect for
casual days – tuck tops in to make the jeans pop, rather than wearing longer
tunics that would make you look boxy and short. The boyfriend jeans suit most
figure shapes, although they could make shorter women look even shorter.
Wide Leg
These jeans have a looser fit around the leg, and are often finished with a
slight flare. While they won’t be like the 1970s bell bottoms, they would look
fabulous on taller, slimmer figures, elongating the leg. Wear with a tucked in
blouse or cami top, and a pair of heels, for an effortless look.
See? Jeans are available in so many different cuts
and styles that you’re almost guaranteed of finding a pair that will suit your
figure and personal preference. Have a look at the various options available
next time you’re in the clothing section.

I am awful at picking jeans, I always just stick with classic skinny jeans although I'd love some more interesting styles :)
