Bedroom Dreams

I have the decorating bug at the moment, even though my house was a brand spanking new build and I have only been in there for a year and a half, it is definitely time for a change. I absolutely adore my bedroom, if I could spend all my time in there I absolutely would, but it's time to mix it up and make it even prettier. This bedroom is everything I want right now - I found it here and this blog just so happens to belong to the lady who is helping Emily Schuman style up her house. The room is so soft, romantic and girly - 100% loving all the nude colouring. Great starting point and the re-decorating can begin.

Hiding from the Rain

When I moved into my new house last July, I fully intended to keep you all up to date with my rooms and decorating bits and bobs. Time has completely slipped away from me, so I thought i'd better start sharing soon. As it's been raining and raining and raining,  i've been in the house rearranging and what not. Here is a peak into my front room. I think I might do a home tour soon for you guys to see what's been going on.

Spring Decorating

I think I get bored on average about every 4 weeks with my house. So I set about visiting home stores to see if there is anything that I obviously don't need, but want and then I change things around. I'm sure every time my housemate comes home there is something new or the entire kitchen has been moved around. Now i'm off to go and inhale some Dominos.

Pretending to be an Adult

I have come to the firm conclusion as I am completely on the wrong side of my twenties, that we in fact never grow up, we just play pretend. The only difference is we live in the big bad world and we have to fend for ourselves. Everything I have, I now own or rather will do in 25 years time. Instead of clothes shopping I spend my money on my home, paying my mortgage, bills and buying stuff I really do not need to have in my home. I have lots of lovely things and I know they don't necessarily make me happy, I do love to be surrounded by them. Ever since watching Home Alone this past December, it has put me on a crazy alert for burglars and a massive love for my belongings that I literally couldn't live without such as my laptop, my iPhone, my Dishwasher even. Needless to say I was straight on the net to compare home insurance. So rest assured everything is now safe and sorted - for now.

Scent of a Home

If there is one thing I pride myself on in my home - it's the smell. I have a dog, so I am very aware that it could get quite smelly if left to it's own devices. So insert me and a million scented yankee candles and scented diffusers. I can't smell my house and I mean CAN'T, just like I can't smell my perfume. However I am informed that you can smell it from outside my front door, which is a good thing I think. On the top of smell good list is this Strawberries and Cream scented diffuser - I love it and I currently have 4 in various places around my house - the living room, downstairs toilet, my ensuite bathroom and my bedroom. It's such a lovely smell, that it leaves you wondering where it is coming from and what the scent actually is.

A Pretty Place to Shop

Whilst i'm on my early spring clean mission - I thought I would share with you a cute little shop that has taken far to much of my money lately - DotComGiftShop. I can't complain they really do add a little somethin somethin to my pretty home. Hope you're having a great evening girlies. I am unashamedly off to watch Holby City.

Fairy Lights

Slightly obsessed with fairy lights right now - i'm not sure if it's the inner child in me coming out or whether i'm just feeling slightly festive. Either way, I will have some fairy lights hanging by the end of the week. Have a great evening.
